Two houses on 15 acres are out in the "woods", yet 5 minutes from town and 10 minutes from Fort Sill. See it on Google Maps satellite. We are located on the NE corner of Gore Blvd. and 82nd St. in Lawton. The setting is rural, and the house is at the end of a long, tree lined gravel driveway, 800 feet from 82nd Street. A creek in the forest winds through the length of our 15 acres, with well-maintained walking trails on both sides and hidden side paths for exploring. A sheltered clearing features a campfire ideal for unwinding in the evenings or hosting friends and colleagues. Wildlife, such as rabbit, armadillo, possum, squirrel, a variety of birds, deer, bobcat, coyote, and turkeys are visitors. We feed the deer, songbirds, squirrels, and turkeys, encouraging them to return and creating a peaceful, storybook setting. This is the most appealing home site in all of Lawton. In the clearing a sturdy footbridge offers an easy crossing over the water. From there, you can walk north into Wyatt Acres--Lawton's most established, and respected neighborhood. You are also welcome to walk south into the quiet, undeveloped "wild lands" of open pasture in a truly peaceful escape. There is a small unused stock pond (with a paddle boat) only 200 feet from your house. There are some good size bass and other fish in it. An evening walk in good weather is an exceptional experience to be anticipated daily. Because we are in the city limits, the area is completely protected from hunting, allowing the wildlife to roam freely and safely. I will mow your lawn when I mow. Edging and trimming are your responsibility. You provide the remaining utilities and propane. (Phone, electric, cable, computer, TV, etc.) This house is large enough for a couple. You will buy the propane existing in the tank at arrival and all refills. When you move, I will buy from you what remains in the tank. I live next door with a good workshop. Any repairs you may need are quick and efficient.
